What is inside the Earth?
As you know, Earth is the only one planet in the solar system on which life is possible. It is believed that the Earth is about 4,600 million years old. It was melted in the beginning. Gradually, its outer layer cooled and solidified. The Earth has come to its present form through various phases. Like the onion layers, it is also made up of several concentric layers.
Let us know about the internal structure of the Earth:-
You must know that the temperature inside the Earth increases with increasing depth.
The distance between the Earth's crust to the center, which is called the radius of the Earth, is approximately 6,000 kilometers. The estimated temperature of the center of the Earth is approximately 5,000 Degree Celcius.
The knowledge of the internal structure of the Earth has been provided by man on the basis of indirect evidence. In addition to volcanic and seismic waves, it has been studied on the basis of evidence from meteors.
From this point of view the three layers of the Earth have been determined:-
1. Earth's crust or Land surface
Earth's crust is the name of the outermost layer of the Earth on which humans live. It's thickness is up to 40 kilometers in the continent and up to 5 kilometers in the surface.
This layer has two main parts:
- Continental crust
- Oceanic crust
The part of the Earth's crust which is the below of the oceans, is called the ocean layer. It is also called C Ma. because this layer is mainly composed of minerals called Cilika(C) and Magnesium(M).
The oceanic crust is very thin in the balance of the continental crust. Its average thickness is only 5 kilometer to 7 kilometer.
2. Mantal or intermediate layer
Layer beneath the Earth's crust, whose expansion is up to 2,900 kilometer depth, called mantal or intermediate layer. The rocks in the mantal are mainly composed of Cilika, Magnesium and some iron. The upper part of the mantal containing slid and minerals, including the surface of the ground is called lithosphere. The average thickness of the lithosphere is is about 100 kilometer. Layer up to a depth of about 400 kilometer from the base of the lithosphere which is made up of weak, soft and highly molten rocks, is called asthenosphere. The temperature and the pressure of the asthenosphere are so high that the rocks become soft and partially melt.
3. Crod
At a depth of more than 2,900 kilometer, there is a layer called crod in the form of a sphere in the radius of 3,500 kilometer around the center of the Earth. It is mainly made of metals. Especially all the metals are present in the crod, in which Nickel(N) and Iron(Fe) metals are mainly found. For this reason his layer is also called Nife. Due to accessive external pressure and internal heat, the temperature of this layer is estimated to be 5,000 degree celsius. At such a high temperature, no substance can exist in the solid state. So it is cleared that it is liquid, but due to external pressure, this liquid behaves like a solid.
Therefore, we see this information or it is clear that as we move from the top layer of the Earth towards the center of the Earth, its density increases.
